I got my DAAD Scholarship a decade ago, in 2012-2013. I got my master’s study within a year in 3 universities in Germany (main campus Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin), Norway (University of Bergen), and The Philippines (Ateneo de Manila University) – a TropEd Network. I received a Master of International Health from the Institute of Tropical Medicine of Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin.
After my graduation in 2013, I visited Germany almost every year except in 2018 and during the COVID-19 pandemic. DAAD offers various activities for its alumni by conducting the alumni seminar. Unfortunately, I was not available for the alumni seminar in Africa.
Apart from that, I was also invited as a speaker in Thailand, Vietnam and Indonesia within DAAD collaboration projects/meetings. Danke schoen, DAAD Indonesia, I am honored to be part of the alumni network. Such an amazing experience!
Thanks for inviting me to the DAAD Indonesia alumni meeting 2023. Ich mag Deutschland. In the last 12 months, I visited Germany four times and I will also attend alumni meeting 2024 : Decolonising Global Health with a focus on Decolonizing Biomedical Sciences, Research and Education on 25-28 March 2024 in Berlin, Germany.
